Palpung monks express condolence to Pope John Paul II

New Delhi, India -- Yesterday the envoy of Palpung Sherabling and 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche, Lama Tenam presented the condolence letter to the Secretariat of the State of Vatican City to express sincerely the condolence for the loss of His Holiness, Pope John Paull II.
In the letter of the condolence, 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche expressed his deep sadness for the loss of the great spiritual leader, His Holiness, Pope John Paul II, who was one of the most outstanding Spiritual Leaders of modern times, and a great humanitarian. The world acknowledges the fact that he has devoted his entire life for the sake of well being of humanity, and his efforts at unifying the human race.12th Tai Situ Rinpoche indicated also that the loss of His Holiness, the Pope John Paul II is a loss not only for the Catholic communities, but it is a loss for humanity as a whole.Foe the detail and reference, the condolence letter of 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche is hereto attached.CONDOLENCE MESSAGEI, on my behalf and on behalf of the congregation of Palpung Sherabling Tibetan Buddhism Monastery, wish to condole the loss of the great spiritual leader, His Holiness, Pope John Paul II, who was one of the most outstaynding Spiritual Leaders of modern times, and a great humanitarian. The world acknowledges the fact that he has devoted his entire life for the sake of well being of humanity, and his efforts at unifying the human race.I, as the XII Kenteng Tai Situpa, the head of Palpung congregation of Tibetan Buddhism have great respect for His Holiness, the Pope John Paul II and have very pleasant memories of meeting with him on two occasions. I have special memories of his remarkable contribution for my ACTIVE PEACE PILIGRIMAGE in 1989, which commenced from Bodhgaya, the holy place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, and culminated at the Vatican. The support and encouragement extended by His Holiness the Pope John Paul II during the ACTIVE PEACE PILIGRIMAGE is an illustrateon of his great compassion and his concern for the unity of all humanity and for religious peace and harmony.Today, the loss of His Holiness, the Pope John Paul II is a loss not only for the Catholic Church, but it is a loss for humanity as a whole.I along with 500 monks of Palpung Sherabling Tibetan Buddhism Monastery, Himachal Pradesh, India, join in prayer on the occasion of the passing away of His Holiness, and send our sincere condolence to his congregation and followers, and to the administration of the Vatican.
