Illawarra, NSW (Australia). Hội đồng thành phố Shoalhaven đã chính thức dành riêng cho giáo hội Phật Giáo Shoalin khu đất tại Comberton Grange gần Fall Creek với một giá cả chưa được tiết lộ.

Hội đồng đã bỏ phiếu trong một phiên họp kín để cống hiến khu đất thuộc sở hữu của thành phố đến cho giáo hội Phật Giáo.

Ngôi chùa trong dự án sẽ là nơi đào tạo tăng tài và sẽ cung ứng tiện nghi sinh hoạt cho khoảng 500 du khách.

Thị Trưởng Greg Watson nói ông tin tưởng rằng ngôi chùa sẽ được xây dựng tại Comberton Grange, ông nói thêm,“Họ đã thăm dò rất nhiều khu vực ở Illawarra cũng như ở Shoalhaven và họ rất, rất hoan hỷ với khu vực này, nó đáp ứng được mọi thứ họ mong muốn, như vậy cũng công bình trong việc xúc tiến giải tỏa những gút mắc đối với chính quyền tiểu bang.

Council to offer land to Buddhist order

Illawarra, NSW (Australia) -- Shoalhaven City Council is to officially offer the Shoalin Buddhist Order land at Comberton Grange near Falls Creek at an undisclosed price.

The council has voted in a confidential meeting to offer the council-owned land to the Buddhist order.

The proposed temple would be a training ground for monks and would also provide accommodation for up to 500 tourists.

Shoalhaven Mayor Greg Watson says despite some interest from Italy and Victoria, he is confident the temple will be built at Comberton Grange.

"They looked at a number of sites in the Illawarra and also in the Shoalhaven, and he was very, very happy with that site, it's suited everything he really wanted, so that looks like it's got a fair chance of going ahead subject to some of the sticking points with the State Government bureaucrats being resolved," he said.
