AMAVARATI, Andhra Pradesh - Newindpress, January 11, 2006 ( India)_ Lễ khai mạc viện bảo tàng Amaravati và Trung Tâm phiên dịch bởi Dalai Lama ngày hôm qua là một phần trong kế hoạch phát triển vùng Mạng Mạch Phật Giáo Lower Krishna Valley của Chính phủ với phí tổn 200 million rupee tương đương với 4 triệu USD.
Tuyến đường nối liền khu vực Phật tích cổ xưa Amarvati, Nagarjunasagar, Chandayvaram và Undayalli - đang chờ đợi hy vọng cho phép du khách thăm viếng thung lũng tịnh xá ẩn cư phong phú của Phật giáo.
Cũng như Ðức Dalai Lama thừa nhận rằng Phật Giáo lan ra rộng lớn từ nơi này từ nhiều thế kỷ qua, viên chức ngành du lịch dự trù rằng nó sẽ là “Mục Tiêu Chính Yếu” cho khách du lịch từ Ấn Độ và Đông Nam Á.
Bộ công đoàn liên hiệp du khách giúp đỡ 800 ngàn USD cho viện bảo tàng, chính phủ tiểu bang phê chuẩn cho khoảng gần 300 ngàn USD, thêm cho phần cung ứng địa trạch..
Giám đốc Liên đoàn phát triển khu vực du lịch, ông S Suryaparakasa Rao nói họ đã tiếp nhận kế hoạch với 2 dự án nhà hàng và viện bảo tàng.
Nhà hàng Dhanyakataka biếu tặng tất cả các thực phẩm, quà bánh và thức uống.
Tổng thể khu vực bao gồm viện bảo tàng, kiến trúc thuận lợi cho tất cả những nhóm đến thăm viếng và bao gồm cả thiết bị cho vật lý trị liệu. Cũng có phòng rửa tay, chỗ đậu xe, chỗ ngồi, , nước uống và phòng vệ sinh.
Viện bảo tàng hai tầng nhà, được ủy thác bởi Bộ Khảo Cổ và Viện bảo tàng, sẽ có sân khấu trình diễn nghệ thuật. Tầng lầu nhất chưng bày các tài liệu liên quan đến lịch sử cổ đại của Andhara Desa, Lịch sử Phật Giáo tại Andhra Pradesh, lịch sử của đài kỷ niệm Amaravati hoặc Mahachaitya, giai đọan biến chuyển của Phật Giáo tại Mahachaitya và trên điêu khắc Amaravati.
Tầng lầu nhứt cũng có triển lãm 12 lãnh vựcnghệ thuật Amaravati, công trình điêu khắc đã tìm được trong thời gian khai quật bởi Bộ khảo cổ.
Tầng lầu hai sẽ là trung tâm văn hóa nghệ thuật của Phật Giáo và ảnh hưởng của nghệ thuật Amaravati đến Ðông Nam Châu Á và Nam Châu Á và sẽ được tiếp tục cho 6 tháng tới.

AMARAVATI, Andhra Pradesh (India) -- The inauguration of The Amaravati Museum and Interpretation Centre by the Dalai Lama here yesterday is part of the State Government’s ambitious plan to develop the Lower Krishna Valley Buddhist Circuit at a cost of Rs 20 crore.
The circuit connecting ancient Buddhist sites – Amaravati, Nagarjunasagar, Chandavaram and Undavalli – is expected to enable the visiting tourists to feel the rich Buddhist heritage of the valley.
As even the Dalai Lama admitted that Buddhism spread far and wide from these places centuries ago, tourism officials are expecting it would be “The Destination” for the tourists from both India and the South East Asian countries.
While the Union Tourism Ministry granted Rs 3 crore for the museum, the State Government sanctioned a grant of Rs 1 crore, in addition to providing land.
AP Tourism Development Corporation regional manager S Suryaprakasa Rao said that they took up the project with two major components comprising a restaurant and a museum-cum-interpretation centre.
The restaurant christened Dhanyakataka would offer all types of cuisine, snacks and beverages.
The entire complex, including the museum building, is designed to facilitate visitors of all age groups and includes facilities for physically challenged persons. It also has washrooms, parking, seating, drinking water and a cloakroom.
The two-floored museum, commissioned by the State Department of Archaeology and Museums, will also house a sound-and-light show theatre. In the first floor, early history of Andhra Desa, history of Buddhism in AP, history of Amaravati monument or the Mahachaitya, the changing phases of Buddhism at the Mahachaitya and the Amaravati sculptures.
The first level also showcases 12 cognate sites of Amaravati art, which have yielded sculptures during excavations conducted by the Archaeological Department.
The second level will focus on the cultural material of the Buddhist sites and the influence of Amaravati art on South East Asian and South Asian countries and will be commissioned during the next six months.
